It just seems crazy some days....

As you can tell from the title I'm a little frustrated with the current turn of events in our process. For those completely unaware of all needed in this process, all paperwork has to be current when you're given a referral and travel to get your child. Expirations are based on the state you reside in and other specifics, but nonetheless it is time to do our home study update. I was ready in Septemeber, knew it all needed to be done by end of November, and told to wait until October to call my social worker and proceed. No big deal. I do just that and then when calling find out Gladney is no longer liscensed in the state of KY! What does this mean??...well that I have to find an entire new agency to do our home study and not just an update but a COMPLETE new home study! Basically means doing all the original paperwork AGAIN! It doesn't effect our wait time or paperwork in Colombia, but it is so frustrating because getting through this maze the first time is difficult enough but to redo it again is painful to say the least. Also will cost us at least $2000 more. I don't mind waiting, I don't mind being fingerprinted, cleared by the FBI and state govts, or even being interviewed for 3+hours to ensure that we are well prepared and capable to parent a child, but doing it all again seems exhausting. There is no way anyone can understand the magnitude of this frustration unless you've been through this process and then...you get it without question. Had Gladney stayed liscensed here in Ky, I would not being going through this at all. Also, I just wish someone would've informed us previously..that is frustrating as well.

Enough ranting, I really don't have time to spend on here...I've got paperwork to do:)!!! lol
