For now an update once a month seems practical, I hope soon to have more news to share. We did find out this week that the review board has reviewed our dossier and found 1 document they have issues with...uuugh. Not, what you want to hear. They sent a letter Feb 28th to our agency outlining the specifics and they still have not received the letter. My caseworker, Beth, explained it sounds like they didn't like the Secretary of States approval of the county certification. Until she receives the actual letter there's no reason for us to move forward and re-do the document. It's really not a big deal in the long run, but we will probably lose a month because of this. Everything is just soooo slow. In our world of technology we noramlly can scan, fax, email docs in seconds but unfortunately they don't have those resources in these orphanges we are dealing with. I think that's why everything goes at the pace of a snail.....literally!
On the upside, we do know our dossier has been reviewed and all is ok but 1 document, and if I had to pick one for it be it would be this one. I can quickly re-duplicate it and get all the notarizations done. And today I read where a family just got their referral of three beautiful children, 3,5,&7! That's always encouraging!

ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that this minor "setback" is just part of the process in receiving the perfect child/ren meant for the family! We are still so excited and continue to pray for you guys and this new blessing(s) we're about to welcome into the family!! :)
