Day 21 & 22 --Sentencia~~~

On Wed, February 29th Owen officially became Charles Owen Manual McCann, our little guy! Magnolia was so gracious and took us out to the mall and got a few things I needed then we ate at McDonald's per Addisyn's request as we anxiously waited to hear from our attorney. We got back to the hotel around 2:30 and she called shortly thereafter to say it was ready!

Today Chuck and Magnolia headed out early to get the new birth certificate processed. It was ready later this afternoon around 1 and that's when Owen, Magnolia, and myself headed to the passport office to take his passport photo. We were there a couple of hours and he did so good. He was flirting with all the ladies and smiled for everyone. He smiled ear to ear for his photo and giggled, it was so adorable. I am certain it's the cutest passport photo ever made!!

We leave early in the morning for Bogota, it's a short flight and tomorrow afternoon we have the appt for the doctor's exam. I am excited to be starting this next leg of the trip but a little sad to be leaving Cali. I don't know if or when I will be able to come back to this amazing city where our little guy was born and I know it will feel so far away once we get home. I know it will a hold a place in my heart forever. The amazing people I have met, the sites we've seen, the foods, the smells, all of it will stay with me. Someone once told me that all the things we experience make us who we are, they become a part of us, ingrained into us somehow. I am forever changed and Colombia is now a part of who I am as well.
